Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

From October to May, days around San Antonio and New Braunfels are usually mild to warm: fall and spring afternoons are often in the 70s and 80s °F, while winter brings cooler days, chilly mornings and the occasional cold front or freeze. Spring brings the most severe thunderstorms, sometimes with hail, and fall can bring heavy rain too; low-water crossings and rural roads can flood quickly in downpours. The cave stays near 70°F and very humid whatever the weather outside. Bring sun protection for the safari, since you will be in a car in the sun for an hour or more, and a jacket for cold-front days with the windows down. These are typical conditions, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS forecast.

Admission and parking are separate. Check current conditions before departure.

A good day, in the bag.
