Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

From November through April, Houston days are usually mild: highs often in the 60s and 70s °F, with the occasional cold front bringing a crisp, dry day or a chilly, grey drizzle, and spring warming quickly into the 80s by late April. Humidity is lower than in summer, so the open walk between the museums is comfortable. Heavy downpours can still briefly flood streets and underpasses; never walk or drive into floodwater. May and early October are already warm and sticky; from June through September, expect hot, humid afternoons with a high heat index and pop-up storms, and keep the outdoor stops to the morning. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast; check the NWS forecast for your date.

Admission and parking are separate. Check current conditions before departure.

A good day, in the bag.
