Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

In the best windows, March–May and mid-October–November, Dallas–Fort Worth afternoons are usually mild to warm and mornings are comfortable for the Garden. Spring is also the stormiest season: strong thunderstorms with hail and heavy rain are possible, so never drive into a flooded road. Summer afternoons are regularly in the upper 90s or hotter, so do the Garden at opening and carry water; winter is usually mild but can bring cold fronts and the occasional ice day. Shade in the Garden is patchy away from the Japanese Garden. These are typical conditions, not a forecast; check the NWS forecast for your date.

Admission and parking are separate. Check current conditions before departure.

A good day, in the bag.
