In spring (March–May) and fall (October–November), New Braunfels usually has warm, pleasant afternoons and mild mornings, though fronts can bring a sudden cool, breezy day and spring and fall are also the main seasons for heavy thunderstorms and flash flooding on low crossings. Summer afternoons are hot and humid; winter days are mostly mild with occasional cold snaps. Shade under the Landa Park oaks helps, but bring water and sun protection.
