Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

In the best windows, Dallas is usually pleasant for walking: typical highs run from the upper 60s°F in November and March to the upper 70s in April and October and the mid 80s by late May, with cooler mornings and evenings. Fall cold fronts can bring a sharply cooler, windy day. Spring, especially April and May, is the peak season for severe thunderstorms with lightning, large hail and occasional tornado warnings, and downpours can flood streets and underpasses quickly; never walk or drive through moving or standing floodwater. Downtown pavement holds heat and shade is patchy between stops. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS forecast and plan the longer walks for the morning.

Admission and parking are separate. Check current conditions before departure.

A good day, in the bag.
