Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

From late September to October, eastern Massachusetts usually brings cool mornings, mild afternoons and lower humidity, with frost possible by mid-October in the open fields of Concord and Lincoln. Fall color around Concord typically peaks in mid to late October. Days shorten quickly, and a coastal storm can bring a cold, windy, rainy day. Summer is warm and humid with afternoon thunderstorms, and Walden is busy with swimmers. Spring is changeable and the trails can be muddy. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS forecast the evening before and the morning of your trip.

Admission and parking are separate. Check current conditions before departure.

A good day, in the bag.
