Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

January to March brings the year's heaviest rain, sometimes for several days in a row, with sunny, calm, cool days in between, which are the best for spotting whales. The headlands can be far windier and colder than Bear Valley, and the strongest winds come with southerly gales from November to December. Spring days are often windy. Fog can roll in at any time. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS forecast the evening before and the morning you go.

Admission and parking are separate. Check current conditions before departure.

A good day, in the bag.
