Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

Apple Hill is high in the Sierra foothills, about 3,000 feet at Camino, so it runs cooler than Sacramento. September is usually dry and warm, often hot in the afternoon. October brings sunny, mild days and crisp mornings, and the season's peak color in the orchards and vines. By November, days are cool, the first storms of the wet season can bring rain, and mornings may be frosty. Wildfire smoke is possible in early fall in some years. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS forecast.

Admission and parking are separate. Check current conditions before departure.

A good day, in the bag.
