It's planned around the real ferry timetable, which changes by season.

Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

Avalon's average highs sit in the low 60s °F from December to April and about 70–73°F from July to October, with lows from the upper 40s to the mid-60s. The ocean averages about 70–75°F in summer, 65–70°F in spring and fall, and 59–65°F in winter. Rain falls mainly in winter. Wind and swell on the San Pedro Channel can make crossings rough and occasionally cancel boats, and evenings on the water feel cooler than the town. Sun is strong year-round. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS forecast the evening before and the morning of your trip.

Admission and parking are separate. Check current conditions before departure.

A good day, in the bag.
