Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

In October and November, days near Atlanta are usually in the 60s and 70s°F with cool mornings, and fall color around the lake peaks from late October into November. March to May is mild with spring blooms but brings rain and thunderstorms. Summer is hot and humid, often around 90°F, and the exposed granite feels hotter still, with afternoon thunderstorms and lightning. Winter is cool, usually above freezing, with occasional cold rain; wet or icy rock makes the climb treacherous. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS forecast.

Admission and parking are separate. Check current conditions before departure.

A good day, in the bag.
