Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

In March to May and October to November, expect warm, often sunny days with highs mostly from the upper 60s to the low 80s, cool mornings and a sea breeze on the beach that can feel chilly in the shade. Spring brings biting gnats on still days; fall is usually drier and calmer, though hurricane season runs to the end of November and a passing storm can close the park. Summer is hot and humid, with almost daily afternoon thunderstorms that can shut the lighthouse; winter is mild but grey and windy on the beach. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS forecast and tide predictions before you go.

Admission and parking are separate. Check current conditions before departure.

A good day, in the bag.
