Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

In spring, the Triangle warms from cool mornings in March to warm, often humid days by late May, with frequent showers and the occasional strong thunderstorm; pollen is heavy in April. Fall is usually the most settled season, with warm September afternoons cooling to crisp mornings and comfortable days in October and November, and fall color peaking around late October into November. Summer brings hot, humid afternoons and pop-up thunderstorms, so walk the gardens early; winter days are cool and mostly dry, with occasional ice or a little snow that can close roads. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS forecast.

Admission and parking are separate. Check current conditions before departure.

A good day, in the bag.
