Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

From mid-November to early January, west-central Georgia usually has mild afternoons in the 50s and low 60s °F and clear nights that drop into the 30s, with occasional frost. Cold fronts bring a day or two of steady rain and wind, then crisp, clear weather that is best for the view from Dowdell's Knob. The sun sets around 5:30 pm, so the gardens dim early. Snow and ice are rare but possible in a cold snap. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS forecast.

Admission and parking are separate. Check current conditions before departure.

A good day, in the bag.
