Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

In spring and in October and November the Golden Isles are usually pleasant, with warm days, cooler mornings and evenings, and a steady sea breeze. Summer is hot and humid, often around 90°F, with frequent afternoon thunderstorms and lightning, strong sun on the sand and biting insects near the marsh. Hurricane season runs June through November, and a storm offshore can bring rough surf, high tides and closures. Winter days are cool and often sunny, with occasional cold, windy fronts. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS forecast.

Admission and parking are separate. Check current conditions before departure.

A good day, in the bag.
