Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

From April to June and in September and October, days around Valley Forge and the Brandywine Valley are usually mild, with comfortable walking weather and the trees greening or turning; spring brings showers, and October mornings can be crisp. Summer is hot and humid, often in the upper 80s or 90s, with afternoon thunderstorms, so start early and take water. Winter is cold and damp, with occasional snow and ice that can close Washington's Headquarters. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS forecast before you go.

Admission and parking are separate. Check current conditions before departure.

A good day, in the bag.
