Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

In spring and fall, Gettysburg usually brings mild days, cool mornings and brisk wind on the open ridges, with color in the trees in mid to late fall. The battlefield is mostly open fields with little shade. Summer is hot and humid with occasional severe thunderstorms, and winter can bring snow and ice that close some park roads and buildings. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS forecast.

A good day, in the bag.
