From May to September Anacortes is usually mild and fairly dry: typical July and August highs are around the low 70s°F, with little rain, long evenings and sunsets after 8 pm from May through August (around 9:15 pm in late June, nearer 7 pm by late September). Mornings can start grey or foggy on the water, and shoreline and bridge viewpoints are often breezy and cooler than town. October and spring bring cool mornings, showers and clearer breaks. From November to February expect highs from the mid-40s to around 50°F, frequent rain and wind, and the wettest weeks of the year; sunset is around 4:15–5 pm from November to January and before 6 pm through February. Wet leaves and rock can be slippery in any season. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS forecast and finish outdoor walks in daylight.
