Puget Sound weather is mild but changeable. Summer (roughly July to September) is usually the driest and brightest, with comfortable afternoons, though the deck can still feel cool. From October to April expect cool, often damp days with showers, gray skies and occasional brighter breaks; winter days are chilly and short, and wet leaves, steps and paving can be slippery. Waterfront wind can make it feel colder in any season. Bring a rain shell, warm layer and shoes with grip, and plan an indoor break. On the ferry, use a warmer layer for the deck and retreat to the cabin in wind or rain. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date. Check the NWS forecast and warnings, and ferry alerts, before leaving; weather can affect service.
