December days start wet and around 40 °F in Seattle and Gold Bar. Stevens Pass often has falling or packed snow and can close for avalanche control or crashes. Leavenworth, east of the crest, is colder and drier, typically around freezing by day and well below freezing at night, often with snow on the ground. The sun sets about 4:10 pm in mid-December, so the drive home is entirely in the dark. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS forecast and the pass report before you go.
Admission and parking are separate. Check current conditions before departure.
