From November through April, Tampa Bay is in its drier season: days are usually warm and sunny with lower humidity, and cold fronts can bring cool, breezy days, so a light layer helps in the morning queue. The NWS puts the Tampa Bay area's rainy season at roughly May 25 to October 10, with highs in the upper 80s to mid 90s°F, high humidity and frequent afternoon thunderstorms with lightning; Atlantic hurricane season runs June through November. Even in the cooler months, midday sun on pavement and in exposed queues feels hot. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS forecast before you go.
