Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

From May to October the Lake Pepin valley is usually good for walking. Late May and June are mild and green, mostly in the 60s and 70s°F, with some rain. July and August are warm and humid, often in the 80s, with afternoon thunderstorms. September brings sunny days in the 70s, and October turns crisp, with highs mostly in the 50s and 60s, frosty mornings, early sunsets and an occasional early snow late in the month. The bluff tops and the open lake are windy, so even a mild day can feel cold at the overlooks. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS forecast.

Admission and parking are separate. Check current conditions before departure.

A good day, in the bag.
