Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

From late May to mid-September Minneapolis is usually warm to hot and often humid, with highs commonly in the 70s and 80s °F and occasional hotter spells. Afternoon and evening thunderstorms are common, some with lightning, strong wind and heavy rain, and they can stop the streetcar and outdoor concerts. Evenings by the lakes cool off quickly, and sunsets are late, around 9 pm near midsummer and about 7:30 pm by mid-September. In May and October expect cool mornings and changeable days. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS forecast before leaving.

Admission and parking are separate. Check current conditions before departure.

A good day, in the bag.
