Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

Early February is the heart of winter in Québec City: highs are usually around −6 °C (21 °F) and lows around −16 °C (3 °F), and wind off the St. Lawrence makes it feel much colder. Cold snaps below −25 °C (−13 °F) and snowstorms happen most winters, and a thaw with freezing rain is possible. Snow covers everything, and sidewalks and stairs can be icy. Days are short, with sunset around 5 pm. The cliff-top terrace and the river are the windiest spots. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel dates; check the Environment and Climate Change Canada forecast and Québec 511 the evening before and the morning of each drive.

Admission and parking are separate. Check current conditions before departure.

A good day, in the bag.
