Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

Montreal's summer is warm and fairly humid: July highs are usually around 26 °C (79 °F) with lows near 16 °C (61 °F), and thunderstorms can build on hot afternoons. Late May, June and September are milder, with highs around 20–24 °C (68–75 °F). By mid-October highs are nearer 13 °C (55 °F), mornings can be close to freezing, and the wind on the lookout makes it feel colder. Rain falls through the season, roughly 80–100 mm (3–4 in) a month. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the Environment and Climate Change Canada forecast the evening before and the morning of your walk.
