Plan for the conditions
Expected seasonal weather
December in Midtown is usually cold, with daytime highs often in the 30s and 40s °F and colder evenings, made worse by wind between the tall buildings. Sunset comes at about 4:30 pm, so the lights are on early. Rain is more common than snow, but sleet, snow and icy sidewalks happen, especially later in the month. Expect overheated shops and stations, so dress in layers you can open. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS forecast the evening before and the morning of your trip.
Admission and parking are separate. Check current conditions before departure.
