Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

Late April and early May in Holland are usually cool, with afternoons often in the 50s or 60s °F and mornings in the 30s or 40s; a warm, sunny day is possible, and so are cold rain and strong wind. Lake Michigan is still very cold, so the shoreline at Holland State Park can feel 10 or more degrees colder than downtown, especially in an onshore breeze. Showers and an occasional thunderstorm are common, and a frosty morning is possible early in the festival. Dress in layers you can add and remove through the day. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS forecast.

Admission and parking are separate. Check current conditions before departure.

A good day, in the bag.
