Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

From November to April, Tucson days are usually sunny and mild: the park describes winter daytime temperatures from the low 50s to the high 70s, and March and April warm into the 80s. Nights are much colder, often in the 40s and occasionally near freezing in December and January, so bring a layer for Gates Pass after sunset. Winter storms bring occasional rain and, rarely, a dusting of snow on the peaks. October and May can reach the 90s, and from June to September highs run from the mid-90s to above 110°F, with monsoon thunderstorms and flash floods from July. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS Tucson forecast.

Admission and parking are separate. Check current conditions before departure.

A good day, in the bag.
