Plan for the conditions
Expected seasonal weather
In July and August the County usually sees highs in the mid-20s °C (around 77–81 °F) and nights around 15 °C (59 °F), and Lake Ontario is warmest for swimming in late July and August. June and September are milder, with highs near 20–22 °C (68–72 °F), and early October is cooler still, around 15 °C (59 °F), with fall colour in the vineyards. Summer thunderstorms build on hot afternoons, and wind off the lake can make the beaches feel cooler and stir up waves. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel dates; check the Environment and Climate Change Canada forecast the evening before and the morning of each day.
