Plan for the conditions

Expected seasonal weather

In April and May, Kansas City is usually mild to warm, with highs from the 60s into the upper 70s °F, but it's also the stormiest season, with afternoon thunderstorms that can bring hail, strong winds or tornado warnings. September starts hot and turns pleasant; October usually brings sunny days in the 60s and 70s and cool evenings. Summer is hot and humid, often in the 90s, which makes the Plaza walk and the line outside Joe's tiring by midday. Winter is cold, with highs in the 30s and 40s and occasional snow or ice. These are seasonal expectations, not a forecast for your travel date; check the NWS forecast.

A good day, in the bag.
