START-HERE-INSTRUCTIONS.txt: these instructions.

IPHONE / IPAD
Download the ZIP to Files. Tap it to extract, then open the Oregon-Coast-Phone-Pack folder. Read trip-guide.txt. Try the HTML for the formatted guide; file previews vary and may not support links. In navigation-links.txt, tap a URL if clickable, or copy the complete URL and paste it into Safari. Copy useful links into Notes if easier.

ANDROID
Save the ZIP, then use your file manager's Extract/Unzip action. Open trip-guide.txt, or open the HTML with a browser if supported. Tap or copy navigation URLs into your browser.

GOOGLE MAPS
The full loop has three intermediate destinations: Tillamook Creamery, Tolovana beach access in Cannon Beach, and Astoria Column. The outbound and return links are also supplied. Ecola is an optional separate detour; the museum is a rainy-day alternative, not an extra mandatory stop. Change Portland to your precise starting/home address. Confirm every stop before navigating.

WAZE AND APPLE MAPS
Open the next destination one stop at a time from your current location. Confirm the result and parking/access area before starting. For the final leg, choose your home address instead of Portland's city center. These are destination links, not an imported fixed multi-stop itinerary.

OFFLINE USE
The guide and schematic route map are stored locally. This ZIP does not contain road-map tiles, live traffic, tide predictions, or turn-by-turn navigation. Download the Portland–Tillamook–Cannon Beach–Astoria area in a navigation app that supports offline maps. Include OR 6, US 101, and US 30. Open the files once before departure, and prepare the next navigation leg while connected. Do not rely on opening new route links without service.

DAY PLAN
7:45 am leave Portland; 10 am Creamery; 11:30 am drive north; about 1 pm Cannon Beach and lunch; 3 pm optional Ecola; about 4:15 pm Astoria; 6:15 pm return on US 30; home around 8:30–9 pm. Driving budget is roughly 6–7 hours. This is a long day with a dark return in October. Drop optional stops if delayed or tired.

COAST PITFALLS
No exact travel date was supplied. The beach arrival time is not a low-tide prediction. Check the correct day's Cannon Beach tides, weather, and surf alerts. Stay away from surf during hazard warnings, watch for sneaker waves, and stay off driftwood near the water. Protect Haystack Rock's marine life and do not climb the rock. Respect Ecola landslide closures and required parking permits. Current Column parking is $10; older sources can show an outdated $5 fee. Bring a cooler for dairy purchases.

EXPECTED WEATHER
Read the new Expected October weather section in the HTML or text guide. Seasonal expectations are not your trip-date forecast. Check the included location-specific forecasts before departure.
